Mission Statement
Redwood City 2020 builds meaningful partnerships to support the success of children, youth and families and engages and strengthens the community we serve.
Vision
Redwood City 2020 focuses energy and resources on achieving the following outcomes:
- Children, youth and families are safe
- Children, youth and families are healthy
- Children, youth and families are nurtured in a stable, caring environment
- Children and youth are succeeding in school and preparing for responsible adulthood
- Public, private and community partners are consistently working together to support children, youth and families
Strategies
- Continue to bring leaders together in a forum that promotes communication and collaboration.
- Continue to support implementation of Community Schools with Redwood City School District (RCSD) as the lead agency
- Continue to support the Sequoia Teen Resource Center, with Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD) as the lead agency.
- Coordinate and expand community-based youth development efforts and support intergenerational partnerships to address community-identified priorities.
