Sequoia Teen Wellness Center
Located on the Sequoia High School campus the Sequoia Teen Wellness Center (TWC) opened its doors for the first time in August 2003 with the goal of providing confidential health and wellness services to local teens (ages 12-21 years). The Center is the product of collaboration between the Sequoia Union High School District, San Mateo County Medical Center and Redwood City 2020. Medical professionals from the San Mateo County Health System and the San Mateo County Human Services Agency offer general and reproductive health care education and services, as well as counseling and mental health services on the Sequoia High School site to students enrolled in the Sequoia High School District. Early in 2009, the Wellness Center moved into new quarters, still located on the campus of Sequoia High School, but easily accessible from James Street. The services at the Wellness Center are available to all students attending school in the Sequoia Union High School District.

This staffing composition enables an integrated model of service that provides a range of supports from youth involvement initiatives to early intervention to crisis management to medical services.
