The Multicultural Institute received the Welcoming Star Award for their Day Laborer program.

Welcoming Stars recognizes programs in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks that model a remarkable commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all who live, work, study, and visit in our community. When we ask Welcoming Stars recipients what people can to do help advance their innovative, inclusive, community-driven programs, the two most common needs are for volunteers and monetary donations.

Following please find a list of all Welcoming Stars Awardees since the program began in 2015, with links to those who accept donations to support their work. Welcoming Stars awardees CARON, Redwood City Police Department, and San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office do not accept donations.
